Driving directions to Shady River from Pocahontas:

• Coming from the north (St. Louis direction), follow U.S. Highway 67 into Pocahontas. As you reach the downtown area, look for State Hwy 90, which turns to the right and goes up a steep hill into the town.
   

• Coming from the south (Memphis/Little Rock direction) follow U.S. Highway 67 into Pocahontas, crossing the Black River bridge. Bear right after the bridge, still following Hwy 67. As you reach the downtown area, look for State Hwy 90, which turns to the left and goes up a steep hill into the town.
   

• Coming from the west (northwest Arkansas, southwest Missouri, Tulsa direction) follow U.S. Highway 62 into Pocahontas. Continue on Hwy 62 to the intersection with U. S. Hwy 67, then turn left onto Hwy 67 and proceed until Hwy 67 reaches the downtown area. Look for State Hwy 90, which turns to the left and goes up a steep hill into the town.

Turn onto Hwy 90 and go up the hill, onto and through the court square.  Stay on Hwy 90 for 10.7 miles (it follows a very curvy route though the town, and is also labeled Thomasville Avenue in town).

Note: when you pass by Park Street (at the only stoplight on Hwy 90) you are exactly 9 miles from our Stoney Point Road.

Turn left onto Stoney Point Road, a gravel road that is usually unmarked because the signs are frequently stolen.  You will see, though, a homemade sign in the shape of an arrow with Shady River written on it and it points toward the left turn.  If you miss the turn, go approximately 1/10th of a mile to the Hwy 93 "to Dalton" intersection.  Turn around and come back toward Pocahontas and take the first right onto Stoney Point.  You will cross a low water bridge approximately 600 yards from Hwy 90.

Proceed on Stoney Point Road for 1.7 miles.  You should see white arrow signs along the way.  At the next turn, you will see a green mailbox on the left which says Hayes.  On the right you will see a cedar post with reflective tape and the Shady River sign. Turn right and go down the big, big hill.  At the bottom of the hill go straight, wind around and cross a cattle guard. Follow the road until you see a white arrow sign pointing to a road to the left. Take this road to the left until you come to the cottages. Each has a name on it so go to the one you have rented.  We will see you sometime on your day of arrival.
